Water System Model

Calhoun County Water Authority

The Calhoun County Water Authority desired to better understand and manage its existing water distribution system and contracted Three Notch Group for direction. Three Notch Group analyzed, updated and corrected existing GIS information for the water system. This effort included one-on-one meetings with personnel familiar with the system and a GIS analysis of the assets to ensure they could be utilized for engineering purposes. Three Notch Group compiled a myriad of information, including usage data, tank operation data, pipe information, and controls, to develop a calibrated water system model. This model is used to predict system modifications, such as future demands, pipe replacement projects, and emergencies.
